America's Player was a twist introduced on Big Brother 8 (US). America's Player was an interactive twist where one houseguest's (Eric Stein) every move was controlled by the viewers. The viewers could vote other houseguests for Eric to try and get nominated, what player Eric should vote to evict, and several tasks dealt with Eric's relationships in the House, or things to try and shake up the game. Most of these tasks varied in difficulty and consequences for Eric. Eric was rewarded $10,000 for every five tasks he completed.
The twist later appeared briefly on Big Brother 10 (US). Eventual winner Dan Gheesling was voted by the viewers to be America's Player for a week. Gheesling was rewarded $20,000 for completing his week as America's Player.
