Tyler Ross Crispen[2] is the runner-up of Big Brother 20 (US). He also appeared on Big Brother 22 (US).
Early in Big Brother 20 (US), Tyler became the ringleader of the Level Six alliance and was able to use his strategic mind and social charm to earn everyone's trust and control several evictions, blindsiding several houseguests. He developed close friendships with Level Six members Angela Rummans and Kaycee Clark and formed a showmance with the former later in the season. Although he would have a running feud with Bayleigh Dayton after asking her if Angela would get backdoored from using the Power of Veto, he would also create close relationships with JC Mounduix and Sam Bledsoe, despite nominating her during Week 1’s HOH. Despite being nominated in Week 6, he was removed from the block by Angela. He managed to form final 2 deals with everyone in Level Six. He won 3 HOHs and 3 POVs, making him the eighth male contestant to win six competitions and 12th houseguest overall. When Kaycee won the final HOH, she brought Tyler to the final 2. Despite his strong gameplay, a combination of Kaycee's dominance in the competitions and some bitterness from the jury would win her the game by a 5-4 vote, leaving Tyler as the runner-up.
Despite not winning the game, he won America's Favorite Houseguest over Level Six member Brett Robinson and rival FOUTTE alliance member Haleigh Broucher on finale night.
In Big Brother 22 (US), Tyler found himself in a comfortable position in the dominant The Committee alliance. In Week 5 however, he wanted to be nominated and evicted due to him feeling guilty over getting his allies Da'Vonne Rogers and fellow BB20 castmate Bayleigh nominated, but this plan was refused by his ally and the outgoing HOH, Christmas Abbott, and Tyler and Bayleigh would soon mend fences. In Week 6, Dani Briones, who learned from Bayleigh that Tyler threw her under the bus, nominated him as a target, but the two soon patched things up, and Tyler was spared but wanted to go after Dani due to her causing chaos. This rivalry with Dani was additionally intensified due to her overplaying and revealing the Slick Six alliance to Nicole Franzel. He also had minor clashes with Memphis, when he refused to use the POV during the latter’s HOH win in Week 7, to save David Alexander, as he was the latter’s target for backdooring. In the final round of the Triple Eviction, he became the HOH and successfully evicted Dani. In Week 9, however, he was nominated by Cody Calafiore and evicted by a 3-0 vote for being a sizeable threat, placing 6th and becoming the 6th member of the jury.
On finale night, he was in the top 2 to win America's Favorite Houseguest once again but lost to Da'Vonne.
Tyler is frequently regarded as one of the greatest players in Big Brother history due to his dominance in competition, strategic capabilities, and social game across both seasons, especially Big Brother 20 (US). He has also been compared to Derrick Levasseur, Dan Gheesling, and Vanessa Rousso.
